Motorcyclist injured in collision seeks payout

news image A motorcyclist who was left brain damaged as a result of a road accident is seeking compensation.

David Buchan suffered severe injuries when he collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction as he attempted to make a right turn into a car park, the St Albans & Harpenden, Welwyn & Hatfield Review reports.

The impact occurred when the driver was travelling at around 30-45 miles-per-hour and it left the 25-year-old with head injuries so serious that he is now unable to work.

Mr Buchan, who comes from the town of Watford - which is situated around 19 miles northwest of London - is suing the driver through his mother, Anna Buchan.

Mark Whiting, however, denies liability in the case and his legal team alleges that the motorcyclist was driving too fast.

The hearing, which is taking place in the high court in London, is yet to be concluded.
